..... I thought the fans without safety grills were Nara Period.... a Ventilation Laurel from the Heating and Cooling division told me..... (lol--- wicked little grinlet)..... My two young bushi were rather amused seeing the picture and other folks' replies. They want to see a clip of someone doing that fan-'dance' ritual that --- he has read, not I --- part of the warriors battle preparation. .... my brain is addled-pated-tired from the mental time travel adjusting to medieval/ren business at the meeting tonight--- and getting back in the Explorer and trying to refocus on the fact that I don't have reins, I have a steering wheel, and instead of a horse, I have horse-power---- this is deteriorating very fast...... not tired, just crazy, nooo not crazy---- just a mom........ Who likes to play with her children. Elizabetu

Ujio (played by Sanada Hiroyuki) was Katsumoto's (Ken Watanabe) second in command. He had the kabuto with the horns and was the character who kept beating the snot out of Algren (Tom Cruise).
During the montage in preparation for the final battle, he can be seen doing kata with a fan.
Sanada-san also starred in "Twilight Samurai" and was the villain in "Onmyoji."

You know you've just instigated a shopping trip, don't you? I could watch Sanada Hiroyuki for hours. I bet he's a demanding sensei. I like Watanabe Ken, too. Anyone remember Toshiro Mifune? (Like, I suppose everyone who has seen the older films?)

You know you've just instigated a shopping trip, don't you? I? Discipline your mind, Grasshoper and rent 'em. "Twilight Samurai" and "Onmyoji" are both out on DVD and should be findable at any rental place that has a decent foreign film selection. I think you will find his character in "Twilight Samurai" a revelation after having seen him kicking Tom Cruise's smelly gaijin butt. I'm not going to spoil it for you by saying how or why, just that Sanada-san can act. I think he's the Mifune for the 21st century. Makiwara

Why rent when you can buy? LOL.... all the rental places here require a credit card, and I'm a cash-only kid in this iteration. Besides, we will watch them over and over and over and over and over...... do you have kids? Want to know how many times I've been subjected to 'Bionicle: The Mask of Light', the Pokemon movies, and ALL of the Godzilla movies...... naw, you don't want to know.... I can see it from here. I've heard that the role of Ujio was not Sadana-san's usual type of role, so I'm looking forward to his other movies. He has such presence, and for me, it is martial arts presence, that is the attraction. Rizii, who has to quit playing soon and go to work
