HI,
I got such great and time saving help on the kanji project. I was woundering if it would be too much to ask for alil' more.
I'm looking to make subas for my new sticks. And while i under stand they are primarily personal.I was woundering if any one had a link to a suba site. OR to a vast display of subas. period and more modern.
Thank you all so much for your time and help. i hope to return the favor and time when i can.

You might try googling it with the correct spelling, which is tsuba.

The last few Tsuba I made, for my SCA swords, were from pipe flanges. They are cast iron, and if your good with a drill, and file, you can make them look very REAL. Plus, they cost about 5$ or less from Hd of any hw store. T

Tomoyuki is right, besides being easy to come by and inexpensive cast pipe flanges are a good starting point for tsuba.
I also found a place local to me that has the same thing out of stamped 10ga sheet steel. Personally I like them a little better since they are not as clunky and they are indestructable.
I have been making some tsuba recently out of 1/8 aluminum that I then cover with leather and edge with a separate "rim" of leather. (makes it look nice and keeps them from scratching the paint off my armor when I shove them in my sheaths as backup weapons.) They seem to hold up pretty well.
I am still trying to figure out how to make my swords look more period while staying within the rules.

"I am still trying to figure out how to make my swords look more period while staying within the rules." That is always the hard part. I think your stuff looks good. T
