We now have two dozen members give or take a few. Hopefully y'all have had a chance to poke around a get a sense of the strength or weakness of the site. You have seen my posting on the language rules.
I know that I am not the first to think of doing this. So take a moment to let us know how this board meets or fails your expectations. If you know of another board you would like this one to be more like, post it for reference. If you know another hosting site you would prefer, post that.
I will leave the poll up for a week. If the choice is to go, I will post a poll on some possible new locations.

Kind of a dumb question, ain't it? Kinda like the"To fight or not to fight" T-Shirt at Pennsic.
(Or was it WW?)

Well, we corresponded privately, but I'll put some of it here. The content of the site, organization, and so on is fine. However, it's my policy to not register for forums or lists not directly owned by the administrators. For example, armourarchive.org is fine, tousando.proboards18.com is not (unless you were the guy who owned proboards). So I won't be a registered member here (and did I mention I don't care for someone else's ads? ;D) (that's not the same as AA's ads, just to be clear).

Okay - 6 yes and 30 uncommitted. I think its great that we got 3 dozen members in the first two weeks. I hope I haven't antagonized anyone promoting this board on the ArmourArchive, SCA-JML, and others. I have posted on the Outlands list, sent email to Tir Ysgithr (I had some fun with those guys last Estrella), and contacted some one-on-one. I haven't contacted anyone on the samurai history Delphi board. I'll leave that to someone who actually hangs out there. I saw Elizabetu's post to the Genji list. I hope that you all continue to let others interested in Japanese history & the SCA know about us. This week I pack stuff up, go visit my mom in WV, and, FINALLY, go HOME (after being on the road for a couple of months) on Sunday. So if I don't seem as present, that's OK. Just a note: The hosting service is going through a major upgrade Dec 14. Thanks to all who have come and participated. I really appreciate it. ;D Ron Broberg Otagiri Tatsuzou Kenin of the Hatakeyama Squire to Sir Nicholas DeKane Currently at Hampton VA Soon to be home in Colorado!

Otagiri-dono,
My wee bushi and I are all appreciative of the work you've put in to organize this board, as well as those who have put up information and tips so generously.... and... something that I am glad to see.... people helping one another generously.... and with good humor..... and being patient with your answers to the posts of the very young. I feel like I am wandering in a gallery/library with a solarium off to the side, and I can read, listen, look, have my treats to eat and a beverage to drink. Nice ambience, you got here, milord.
I hope your visit goes well with your mother, and that your journey home is uneventful and as pleasant as it could be.
At your service,
Rizii

You sure get alot of customers, Otagiri. I, however, have never surpassed 3 members (Including me), and you get about 3 people a day! I would like to congradulate you for your excellent work!
My blessings, Otagiri-Dono.
