As Date-dono pointed out, I am a girl. ;-> As Jehanne used to say to her old Captain of Archers when he made disparaging comments about the light draw weight on her longbow, "But Macsen, I don't have to prove I'm a man." M.

Gakken brought out a volume II? I haven't finished translating the first one yet. Guess I'll have to hit the bookstore.

Eff,
The local bookstores don't have it. Can you shoot me that ISBN so I can order it?
BTW, did that Satake collection catalogue arrive yet?

The ISBN is 05-603642-X -- Amazon.co.jp carries it.
The catalogue still hasn't arrived -- but I've not been out to the mailbox yet today...er, yesterday...

The thing is, if you're wearing a Japanese helmet, you need to do something. I love the somen idea, but I can't do contacts and I can't see more than 1 foot without glasses -- so that means a grill of some kind. Tony You may want to have a talk with Master Giles. He was the first to make a somen for SCA combat (there's a long story there -- the stuff in the Hammer wasn't for SCA combat, though it didn't say so). He also cannot see without his glasses. It can be done fairly easily.
