ok, the only metal needed to be cut out are the upper and forearm parts of the kote. after that just holes paint and lacing. now a quick question. for the pseudo-lacquer i was gunna use a bunch of coats of polyurethane and smooth it down with fine sand paper, with this plan, how many coats of it would i need to get a good half centimeter or so of it so i dont end up sanding it off when i polish? or if you have a better way of immitating lacquer build up with fiishing products or art mediums, please for the love of god tell me how?! thanksabunch

Epoxy paint seems to work ok on my kabuto, aside from the occasional gothic finger gauntlet gouge it holds up great to repeated beatings.
