I've been looking at the following two sellers for lacing for my armor. www.lacesforless.com/Shoelaces.aspwww.stlouisbraid.com/Either would be fine, and in the end I'll purchase based on available colors. I haven't been able to find a suitable 'woodpecker braid' to serve as the outermost lace for my lames. I've found a possible winner here: www.sewbizfabrics.com/shoelacecords.shtmlWould the striped laces get a similar effect? Or, does anyone know where I can find a checkered braid?

Drop Trevor a line at www.toraba.com. You can get the real thing in a variety of widths, and at a very reasonable price (especially considering how little you really need -- only a few yards. Effingham
