OK..... the house is now littered with bits of posterboard carefully cut, curved and taped into a vague facisilie of a go-mai mogami do. It starts to look about right, esp with the sode and kuzasuri attached. One thing doesn't look right, however..... I know now (thanks to Effingham's rising wrap to the head as reminder) that all five sections of the do are overlapped lames, with the front and back nagagawa dou pieces the same width across as the tateage (slightly more than nipple to nipple) What looks a bit funky are the tateage plates. . .are they the same height as the nagagawa dou plates? The nagagawa dou are all 2 1/2 inches tall (2 inches with a 1/2 inch overlap) but the tateage look decidedly odd at the same height..... Are they supposed to be a bit taller, say 3 inches stedda 2 1/2? Am confused again (or am I just being a bit 'stunned' as we say here in Newfoundland) In return for any help I PROMISE this will be the last lame question veejay
