Preeeeety.....
How did you make the wheel design? It looks like a stencil but it seems like such a delicate design...

Compass and ruler. And I'm going to have to paint out and re-sand that entire side - if you look closely at the photo, the touch-ups paint dried just as blotchy. ;-(

It is very pretty, I really like the design.
The painting you are doing reminded me of some of the chests with the skinny legs I have seen in books. I wonder if I could make one of those...

Have I mentioned lately the amount of suckage you have? Er, why no, Sensei. You've always been pussyfooting around being too _)$^%@ polite. Imagawa-dono, I have not mounted hardware yet because I have not had time to hunt down some I like.

;D Well, I like it.
Now, since it seems that you think it "sucks", tell you what. I'll be happy to take the "sucky" one off your hands so you can make one that "doesn't suck" ;D
BTW, do you have a picture of the hardware you would like? I know a couple of blacksmiths that scould probally make them, if they had a picture.

Thanks all, for your kind words. I do tend to obsess....
The bit I'm proudest of is the fact that I just put a tetsubin, nine tea cups, a ziplock full of plastic sake cups, the jubako, two standard sake flasks, several plastic "lacquer" bowls, a larger jug and two stuffed monkeys inside it. The lid stayed flush. The joinery (all glued) held when I picked it up and marched it down to the truck.
Titebond II, baby. Yeah!
