So less then two days and I will be in our encampment. I am so looking forward to this and being able to camp with my fellow Nihonjin. When I get there I will stake out everyones tent space so it will be easy for you to set up your tent on the days that you arrive and you wont have to worry about weather there will be enough room to fit. I am also filling up our pantry tent with between meal snacks, so if there is anything that you would like me to get you that I can find at Fry's or Costco just let me know. You are more then welcome to store your coolers in there as well so it can free up that precious tent space.
I am finishing up the gate today and if the light is still good I will post a link to it later. I went with more of a garden gate design then a stronghold or temple type and I am hoping that it will give everyone the warm and fuzzies when they pull up to the camp to unload.
Look forward to seeing you all there!

I am so looking forward to this and being able to camp with my fellow Nihonjin. Me too. I expect to arrive Wednesday afternoon. Ten-day forecast on Weather.com looks very happy making with no precipitation forecast. Daytime temps in the 60s and 70s, nights mostly in the 40s with a dip into the upper 30's on one night so pack your warm blankets and sleeping clothes: www.weather.com/outlook/driving/interstate/tenday/USAZ0069?from=36hr_fcst10DayLink_drivingP.S. And sunscreen. This means you, Otagiri-dono.

11 hours until my flight.....
My day so far - Pricked fingers: New hakama/yoroi hitatare, a strange approximation of a jinboari (must make a pattern some day) Squished fingers: riveting the shikoro of the helm (few more hours of work ahead).
Still to come: three loads of laundry packing
To be conducted throughout: praying to weather kami (it's blowing snow outside as I type)
Estrella, here I come! ;D
I'm in Phoenix Tuesday and on site Wednesday...Once I'm settled I'll try and come by the encampment to see everyone.
until then

Petite Blanche is packed to the rafters and gassed up. I expect to be hitting the road in four hours, overnighting near Palm Springs and arriving on site Wednesday afternoon.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Better to fix a radiator leak at home than on the road. I think I've got it repaired and everything back in place. Doing some test driving in a little while.
Should be on site sometime Thursday. Expecting snow on the drive.

What is it with people from the Outlands and radiator leaks? Li had the same thing happen to him as he reached Phoenix.
Nothing went right for me today so I am packed but going to wait until tomorrow SUPER early to head out. I hate setting up camp in the dark and have no problems leaving a 3am to get there at sun up. One more night in the home bed.
