And no the title isn't talking about the weather (at least I hope not).
Real life concerns have kept me from starting this thread as early as I normally do, but here is the deal, I need everyone to respond to this thread ASAP if you are planning on coming to Estrella this year and camp with Rising Sun. If you are a maybe still post please because it is easier to plan for more and have less then vise-versa.
More later when I'm not typing at work.
Thank you. ;D

I'm in! Tent footprint is the usual (approx 12 x 12).

I'll be there with Ryoshi (David) in tow. He will be camping with Rising sun.
I may not be camping with you this year. As I am running Troll, I might be camping near Troll in case of emergencies, but I will make sure I am allocated land under the rising sun banner so even if I'm not physically camping there, you guys will have my land allocated to you.

Alright I think I have been able to acquire us land with the same group we camped with last year. A couple of things about this year though... Due to demands at work I will not be able to get out until Thursday morning. This means that I will probably not be bringing out the gate. Also unless someone can come by my house on the way out the kitchen stuff won't be out until then. I know that everyone is pretty self sufficient but it was easy to have a central kitchen. Also if the weather gets nasty everyone is more then welcome to crash at my house instead of the site if they would like, I'm about an hour away. Anyway, I'm sorry about this, by next year baby should be old enough that Kelly will be able to get out on Monday like I used to and bring out all of the infrastructure that we are use to so hopefully this will be the only year without.

Yagyu-dono. If you can bring the banners I made - we can make do with banners and lanterns out front. I'll even make us some jinmaku. (Let me know what our street frontage width is when you can and I'll see what I can come up with.)
I will be arriving some time Wednesday afternoon. I have a smaller stove, dishpans and a table if we need them.
As always, thank you for taking the lead on this. We owe you!

Ahhh, this year I feel like I've dropped the ball because I haven't had the time I normally do.
By the way thank you for the poetry that you gave Kelly.

Ryoshi and I will be there Sunday. If you need us to stake out a claim for rising sun, let me know. If you need anything done early, let us know

Makiwara-Danae you are quite right ! I am very much more brash now-a-days LOL! So being intimidated by an imposing figure as yourself is slightly less than last year ! slightly! In sooth I will introduce myself to yours truly. In humillity and gratitude for your undying and unconditional instructions of this one. see a lowly Bushi stick jock can turn a phrase! Lash

I don't know why everyone thinks I'm so scary. It's not like I crawl out of a well at the full of the moon and count dishes.

its the comparison of dirt covered rock to blooming flower. the feeling of oafishness in the radiance of calm perfection.

Taiko returns to Rising Sun, Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoon of the war. I will also be discussing contact between Japan and the West in the 16th century on Saturday morning. (I'm currently having great fun with examples of namban art in preparation.) I received the following message from the A&S coordinator this morning: "There are so many exciting things going on at war that the gate book won't be able to print the class descriptions, though the schedule will be there. Please pass along the link to my google docs (it is unofficial but accurate) so that everyone will be able to preview the listings and schedule." spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AuqGMHaVUAIAdGx4cTVjTUN1Ti1FcnY1WUJGSEdsZ2c&hl=en
