Noble Cousin! Greetings from Solveig! The rather obvious solution presents itself. The all time Japanese favorite military tactic. The night attack! Preferably sometime between midnight and 6AM. Rush their camp and set up your banners! Won't they be surprised to wake up to a Japanese headquarters unit? Well when it comes to Mongols I tend to just tell them to quit taking the lowest bid in ship building. Y'know, the best response I can think of (and it is the perfect answer to both of the posts quoted above) is: "Thunderstorm!" - Imagawa

Weather report for the war... Its going to be raining here from Saturday thru Tuesday according to Weather.com. After that we are looking at highs of upper 60 to lower 70s with lows floating around 40 degrees. So that gives me a problem. I pulled the Gate pieces out today so I could do what ever repairs were needed for the event and was planning on doing them Friday and Saturday (Friday cutting and fitting, then stain on Saturday). If it is raining on Saturday then I will not be able to stain anything. It wouldn't be a big deal but the sealer that I used on the roof pieces didn't wear very well and the roof plywood separated and I will need to replace them. I'm going to try to buy the pieces, cut them, and stain them all tomorrow, but if I can't and it does start raining on Saturday I don't know if I will be able to get it done before coming out on Monday. I'll try my best but we may be gateless if I can't pull it off.

I probably sent you an e-mail at the same time that you were posting this message. ;D
Just so everyone knows, no I have not gotten specifics on where our camp site is. I think this is because this year I went through an intermediary for land allocation, something I don't think I'm going to do again.
We are camping in conjunction with the households of "Aquinas", "Not a Household", "Foxhall" and "Celtic Circle Clan" so if you can find one of them you will find us.
The last that I had heard they were looking to put us on the Battlefield end of the row that is the most southern row just before the land drops to a second tier. A little confusing I know, but if you remember the layout it will make sense.
When I show up and find where we are at I will make sure that I go up to troll and mark us on the map.

Looking at the map it looks like we should be on the battlefield side of "Edessa Path" on the north side. Again this is kind of guess work as I have not had confirmation on that, I'm only going by what I heard a few months ago as where they think they are putting us.
But I did get the gate done today before weather set in and it is re-loaded onto the trailer so that should help find us. (yay!)

I wouldn't say I'm the man, I'm just a humble bushi with a hammer.
Time to go buy food for the week.

Gear is packed. Rice for onigiri is simmering. Sake and snacks have been acquired and stowed in safe places. Documentation for artisan's display has been more or less cobbled together. (I never actually wrote up the sugoroku project, so it's printouts from Sugoroku.net and Sengokudaimyo.com, which will simply have to do).
I might actually even have time to do some more finishing work on the shibori kosode this evening.
I roll out tomorrow afternoon after work and expect to be onsite Wednesday afternoon.
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Rashu-dono, I do realize I was trapped in a corner pouring for people, but you could've introduced yourself! Sorry I missed you, Saionji

I would like to take a moment to say a thousand thank yous to Yagyu Tametomo, our land agent, infrastructure shogun and bushi with a hammer. Without his efforts, Rising Sun would not be.
(PS, how much do I owe you for propane and so forth, tomodachi? I meant to ask.)
