I found that picture browsing the Internet. I think it´s really interesting, but I´m not pretty sure about its accuracy, specially with the Eboshi kabuto structure. Are the plates divided like that? I saw other pictures and it looks like the front part is not divided into to plates. Any advice?? I would apprecciate it very much. Thank you anyway Attachments:

I haven't made one, but one suggestion is to make one using lighter gauge metal so you can play with how you have to dish it a little easier. This will let you get a feel for it before you move up to heavier metal.
That picture that you posted does a good job of showing the very basic pieces that go into it, you just need to figure out how to shape them.

Thank you very much, I though to start with some carboard patterns and then move into aluminium and then into steel. I think I must go deeper searching for more information before start it. So you mean that the picture with the draws is accurate about the structure? Thank you very much for your help.

Yeah, it shows a pretty good representation of the basic parts.
I wouldn't try aluminum. I made that mistake once and it can actually be harder to get into a dished shape because it is so springy. A light gauge steel is actually easier (like 20g) and will bend more similar to heavier gauges so you can get a feel for how the metal will move.

Thank you very much both of you for your answers. I´ll follow your advice and I´ll give up the aluminium idea . Thank you Mr. Bryant, I´m thinking on a 4 plate all metal Eboshi kabuto, but I regret to tell you that the link you wrote does not make sense for me because only appears some japanese people and after that some pornographic images... So... could you send it again if it´s not problem? thank you very much.

Hi, after few hours watching more than 200 eboshi kabuto pictures I think that I figured out how it´s made... so this morning I drow this sketch to check how the patters for the front and side plates could be. I would add a little lip to overlap the plates and I have to add the rear plate, but what do you think? Any suggestion or advice will be welcome. Thank you very much. Attachments:

I have used another kabuto as a base for the patterns and I think it doesn´t look so bad. I was thinking of putting a 5 cm wide koshimaki (about 2 inches???) what do you think? Attachments:
