You really might need to rework those patterns. The front and sides are generally very close to the same size, and the back is wider by about 20-30% than the front.
You also don't have an opening. On conventional armours, the right side is broken into two separate pieces (with an overlap).
See the pattern for the yukinoshita do on my website -- this is basically a variant on that, a five-plate armour.

That front and back are *way* too tall. Those lamellar plates should start at the armpit level, NOT at the top of the body plates.
You really need to look more closely at some of the pictures of real armours and the patterns on my website.
Also, you need to modify the pattern to fit YOU -- there shouldn't be gaps in the plates.

OK, gentlemen, I'm not an armorer, but I just had a thought: if having a friend measure you with a tape measure isn't giving you the correct information for sizing your pattern pieces, why not take a page from the corset makers? Take a T shirt that you don't mind parting with and put it on OVER whatever you're planning on wearing under your armor. Have a friend wrap your torso in duct tape, then carefully cut you out of the duct-taped T-shirt. (Ideally, making the cut line where there'd be a normal join in the armor!) You now have a 3-D template to help you design your pattern pieces.

Ah but Sir Raito, Krylon fusion spray paint for plastic makes it look great, and quite shiny! It does make it shiny, but the barrels aren't smooth enough to make the shininess look good. And hdpe really doesn't hold paint well. Hiraizumi-sensei, that's high praise indeed. Yama Kaminari's methods make nicer plate edges. But, nothing screams 'Samurai!' to me like lames and laces, so I'm not likely to use any solid plate dou patterns, as functional and authentic as they may be. It would be nice to see you at WW again.

Yeah, but that's WHITE. The only thing I'd use white ones for is something like a coat of plates. I don't trust ANY paint -- even Fusion -- to cover permanently and everything, and there's nothing more crappy looking than color coming off and showing a blue or white underlay.

I am really starting to feel like an idiot.. Makiwara-- I will have to try that T-shirt method.. The measurments my wife and I took arent "working" properly.. Since the patterns, 5 so far, arent coming out like they are supposed to.. AJBryant-- Thanks for your help so far.. I will try some different patterns from your site to see if its just my measurements or me being goofy.. My orginal plan was to make a Haramaki style Do.. Since I am a big fellow, but that hit a snag.. Since I might be going to the majority of events alone.. It would be kinda awkward asking a stranger to " lace me up ".... So I am gonna shoot for a Hotoke Dô or a Sendai Dô.. With the Hotoke I would try to lace some plates to simulate the look of Nuinobe Dô.. Heres an illustration of the style I am looking to make for my persona... Heres the orginal pic of the fella.. Do you have any idea what kind of Do that is Mr. Bryant ??

It's basically a go-mai (five-plate) hotoke do.
There is no "lacing you in" to the armour. All there is are two fastenings at the munaita for the shoulders to hold onto and a tie at chest level (see that horizontal cord on the pic you posted?) to close the armour. That, plus your obi, is all you need. Unless you're wearing an oyoroi, you should be able to put it all on yourself.
